Named after the man best remembered for salvaging the United Nations’ efforts during the Korean War, the Matthew B. Ridgway Center for International Security Studies believes that those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. The Matthew B. Ridgway Center for International Security Studies at the University of Pittsburgh is dedicated to generating scholarship that educates the next generation of security analysts. Its purpose is to produce original and impartial analysis that informs policymakers and others who must confront diverse challenges to international security.
