Zach Weinberg is an Industrial Security Special Agent with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). In this role, he supports cleared defense contractors with the protection of classified information and critical U.S. technologies. Prior to his current position, Zach was the Chicago Director for Business Executives for National Security (BENS), a non-profit organization that channels best practices from the private sector to assist the military, law enforcement, and intelligence communities. His research interests include dual-use material, emerging defense technologies, and export controls, and his writings have been featured in multiple outlets, including Princeton University’s Journal of Public and International Affairs. Zach is a member of the Truman National Security Project and holds an MBA and MPIA from the University of Pittsburgh.
